Poker tournament raises charity funds | 8/9/2010 | An upcoming poker event is set to raise money for a cancer charity.
The Lecavalier Poker Charity Event is being held on Friday10 September and will help garner funds to aid the fight against paediatric cancer. All money raised will be given to the Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Centre in Florida.
Ultimate Bet have come on board to sponsor the event and a number of their pros are expected to be there, including respected player Joe Sebok and Ante up for Africa founder Annie Duke.
The tournament itself will be a $550 texas hold’em event with a $100 rebuy. As well as numerous professional players it is also anticipated that celebrities and athletes will get involved.
Ultimate Bet will also be holding an online fundraiser continuation event called Second Sundays and will match the entire prize pool. Again all funds will go to the Vincent Lecavalier Center. |
